WP1: Establishment of the traceability of MVSs related to potential industrial applications

This work package is dedicated to the development of accurate MVSs, traceable thermo-invariant material standards, calibration strategies and approaches of existing and newly developed MVSs as well as the organisation of intercomparisons.

  • Task 1.1 will perform a review of the existing state of the art for MVS and traceable MVS and develop new MVS and approaches for achieving traceability.
  • Task 1.2 will develop and produce various traceable material standards for different types of MVSs (2D, 3D, canonical, freeform, etc.).
  • Task 1.3 will develop traceable calibrations with uncertainty determinations for MVSs using newly developed and commercially available material standards to identify the main geometric characteristics.
  • Task 1.4 will improve the newly developed structured light scanner (also low-cost stereovision system) based on EMPIR JRP 17IND03 LaVA developments to create a large volume Structured Light Scanner (SLS) with position and orientation tracking using a multilateration system.
  • Task 1.5 will validate, with associated measurement uncertainties, by intercomparisons selected newly developed calibration methods using the project’s developed material standards from Task 1.2.
