MultiFixRad

A LNE Joint Research Project

One of the major activities in MultiFixRad is the realisation of a key comparison to compare the scale realisations among the participants in the range above the silver point (> 961.78 °C). This comparison is based on the CCT-K10 key comparison to which LNE-Cnam took part ensuring therefore the linkage to the key comparison reference value.
The comparison led by LNE-Cnam gathers 8 NMis and is organised in two loops. Before the start of the comparison a transfer radiation thermometer was calibrated at LNE-Cnam and circulated along with a Cu-point blackbody for the monitoring of the stability of the radiation thermometer during its travel. The radiation thermometer used is a Chino IR-RST65H radiation thermometer@ 650 nm. A home-made LNE-Cnam copper point cell meant to be operated in the transportable Chino IR-R0A furnace allows to ensure that the radiation thermometer did not undergo damages or drift.

A the end of the project, the first loop was completed and the instruments returned back to LNE-Cnam for a recalibration. The second loop has started at the end of September. Final results are expected to be published in the few next following months.
